Inexpensive Excursions to Refresh Your Marriage/Relationship

Tales from Tenn!

TENN:

If you're looking for and affordable get away, about 3 hours outside Atlanta, Georgia, that Gatlingburg Tenn is the place. This hotel, while not a 5 star, has all the necessities you need to have a fun time together. A free breakfast, clean room, with frig, friendly staff, over looking the river. The trolley runs all day from Gatlingburg to Pigeon Forge. If you're in to coasters, there's one right across from the hotel that takes you for a ride through the trees. Gatlingburg is more of and adult area while father down the road is Pigeon Forge, a place made for the entire family. If you are working on your relationship or just want some bonding time, i highly recommend Gatlingburg. The boutique shops up and down the main drag make it even more fun if you want to pic up a few items. There's the corner ice cream parlor and coffee shop as well. I most enjoyed the fire pit near the creek where I spent the mornings in mediation and prayer with a warm cup of green tea while my hubby caught an extra few snoozes. If you go, you should try putting the Gatlingburg directions in your navigator tool instead of Pigeon Forge to bring you through the mountains. So we used this link to get the best price on the rooms, https://www.booking.com/s/rovinw90. Cost was 49.00 per day(depends on what day you go and season). Gas was about 40.00, dinner was about 25.00 but you could get it cheaper depending on your eating habits. I had to splurge for hubby's bday cake! lol Average about 200 bulks for the trip. Not bad for a short refresher. REMEMBER THIS LINK FOR ANY TRAVEL STUFF. YOU CANT GO WRONG: https://www.booking.com/s/rovinw90.

Let's Go German!

April , 2019

Helen, Georgia

Anyone considering a vacation, but can't afford it? May I suggest a staycation? That's right, just find some place, within, say an hour away from your home to visit. One of my family's choices is Helen Georgia. It's a German themed town with lots of quaint little shops. We stayed at a little tree house cottage that offered a fresh blue Berry pancake breakfast. Cost was about $89.00 for a two night stay during the off season. A frig in our room was great for storing snacks from the local store and saved on the meal cost. Lots of local restaurants with reasonable dinner prices around $16 bulks. Gas cost around 50.00 round trip. The entire trip cost under $200 for a party of two, weekend get away. So pack your bags, learn to live on a budget and just enjoy God's beautiful creations. Happy trails! Use this link to find cheap travel deals: https://www.booking.com/s/rovinw90.
